L'Aria

“L’Aria” explores Lyrical Motion Abstraction, where expressive movement, layered textures, and bold contrasts create emotional energy rather than fixed forms. Rich reds, blacks, and soft tonal shifts interact across the image and create a sense of movement that feels spontaneous and fluid. Furthermore, layered forms and expressive gestures introduce depth and visual rhythm throughout the composition.

For me, the image reminds me of koi swimming frantically while a solo performance unfolds in an opera. In addition, the image takes time to reveal itself because I enjoy leaving room for interpretation. Rather than defining every element clearly, I prefer allowing viewers to discover their own emotional connections and meanings within the work.

Furthermore, Lyrical Motion Abstraction allows me to explore the space between structure and freedom. As colors and layered forms interact, unexpected relationships begin to emerge. Consequently, viewers may notice different movements, shapes, or emotions with each viewing experience.

The image began with roses and evolved through experimentation with monochrome tones, lithographic imagery, and bold color relationships. Additionally, I layered and blended elements together while shaping the final visual direction. As a result, the process became as important as the final image itself.

Additionally, Lyrical Motion Abstraction reflects my interest in movement and emotional expression. As layered forms, shifting tones, and unexpected textures interact, they create a visual rhythm that changes across the image. Furthermore, the composition encourages viewers to slow down and discover new relationships and details during each viewing experience.

I handcraft every print to preserve authenticity and artistic integrity. I do not use artificial intelligence in my work. In addition, I individually print every piece using archival pigment inks and museum-quality fine art papers designed for long-term preservation.
