Artist Statement

Throughout my life, my work as an artist has transformed and developed alongside my personal journey. From the age of 16 in the 1970s, I began exploring the world of photography, delving into the realms of various films, papers, processes, genres, and styles. Over the years, I have witnessed the ebb and flow of life’s moments, experiencing both the highs and lows that it has to offer. Through conceptual fine art photography, I explore memory, perception, and emotional experience through layered imagery.

Additionally, my artistic focus centers on exploration and experimentation. It extends across all aspects of photography, including shooting, developing, and digital processing. I am constantly drawn to scenes with unique lines, vibrant colors, rich textures, and compelling light. These elements inspire me whether they emerge from urban environments or nature. Furthermore, collecting and combining these images gives me a strong sense of purpose. I strive to create work that feels meaningful and evocative.

My conceptual fine art photography practice continues to evolve through experimentation and visual narrative. Moreover, for me, the true essence of photography lies in its ability to conjure a connection between visuals and the human experience, provoking a range of emotions. value collaboration with fellow creatives. Likewise, shared energy and new perspectives often lead to unexpected artistic outcomes. In the end, life in itself is an enchanting phenomenon, continuously opening doors to seemingly magical places. In the midst of this vast universe, this is who I am and where I find myself – continuously embracing the wonder that surrounds me.
