Transcendent Flora

Transcendent Flora” explores an Ethereal Botanical Dreamscape through layered botanical imagery, movement, and dreamlike forms. Soft textures, subtle distortions, and shifting patterns create an atmosphere that feels both mysterious and peaceful. Rather than focusing only on realism, this dreamlike botanical composition blends natural elements with emotion and imagination.

I began this piece with photographs of mullein leaves, dried field plants, and small forest shrubs that caught my attention during walks outdoors. Then I combined those original photographs through layers and digital compositing techniques. Because I work intuitively, I allow the image to change naturally during the creative process.

Through this Ethereal Botanical Dreamscape, I explore how memory and nature interact with one another. Instead of documenting flowers exactly as they appear, I create a layered visual experience that allows emotion, movement, and imagination to guide the final image.

As colors, lines, and forms interact, unexpected relationships begin to appear. Some areas create a feeling of movement while softer passages introduce calm and balance. In addition, I enjoy watching separate elements connect and slowly build a visual rhythm. As the work develops, ordinary plant forms transform into something more dreamlike and open to interpretation.
