Art That Inspires
My Artistic Journey and Vision
My work as an artist has evolved along with me in this life. I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was 16 years old, back in the ’70s.
Over the years, I’ve experimented with films, papers, processes, special effects, genres, styles, and subjects. I’ve seen a lot, lived a lot. I’ve watched life pass by—the good and the bad.
My interest at this point is exploration, art, experimentation, and discovery. This—and all aspects of photography: shooting, developing, digitally processing. I’m still excited when I see an interesting scene with cool lines, color, texture, and light—man-made or from nature. I like collecting these images and seeing how they work together to create something.
Ultimately, it’s not just about the shiny thing, but about how these things relate to humans—our lives. How the bursts of light or the sway of the trees symbolize expressions of our experiences, our day-to-day lives. And how these moments evoke emotion as both reflection and state of being.
I believe in collaboration with other artists and creatives, and in the energy and momentum that unfolds from that. Life is a wonder, opening doors to magical places.
