Artist Statement

Throughout my life, my work as an artist has transformed and developed alongside my personal journey. From the age of 16 in the 1970s, I began exploring the world of photography, delving into the realms of various films, papers, processes, genres, and styles. Over the years, I have witnessed the ebb and flow of life’s moments, experiencing both the highs and lows that it has to offer.

Currently, my artistic focus lies in the realms of exploration and experimentation, extending to all aspects of photography including shooting, developing, and digital processing. I am constantly captivated by intriguing scenes that boast unique lines, vibrant colors, captivating textures, and a play of light, regardless of whether they are man-made or a gift from Mother Nature. The act of collecting and subsequently combining these images ignites a deep sense of purpose within me, as I strive to create something meaningful and evocative.

For me, the true essence of photography lies in its ability to conjure a connection between visuals and the human experience, provoking a range of emotions. I firmly believe in collaborating with fellow creatives, as the shared energy and momentum that arises from such partnerships often result in mind-blowing artistic outcomes. Life in itself is an enchanting phenomenon, continuously opening doors to seemingly magical places. In the midst of this vast universe, this is who I am and where I find myself – continuously embracing the wonder that surrounds me.
