The George Street Project Vision.
The George Street Project is a multi-media project created to capture the people and places of George Street in York, PA.The project will span over several months and will culminate with a gallery/media show that will be open to the public.
The artist, Brenda Welty, has chosen George Street because it runs through the heart of the city and is frequented by many York residents. The purpose is to represent the beautiful and diverse community that exists in York.

This is MannyHe was standing in the rain drinking his coffee outside Prince Street cafe. I was attracted to his big black and white umbrella. I said, “hello” and asked if I could take his photo. Right away he was hesitant and asked why. After telling him about the George Street photo project, he was happy to let me. It was great meeting this kind man. His smile makes me smile.
